Our Story

"Movement Snax didn’t start with a business plan — it came from standing in too many sports halls, watching the same kids disengage. It spawned a belief that young people deserve more from movement than what they were getting."

I’ve taught PE for over a decade — across mainstream, SEND, primary, and secondary. I’ve planned lessons, ticked boxes, juggled 30 kids at once, and done everything I could to keep them moving.

But deep down, it never felt like enough.

Because here’s the truth: PE doesn’t reach every child.

And that’s not a slight on teachers. It’s a system issue.

Most schools get two hours of PE a week — squeezed into busy timetables, often delivered in cramped halls, sometimes by non-specialists. Meanwhile, classes are huge, ability levels all over the place, and behaviour is tough — not because pupils don’t want to move, but because they’ve never been taught movement in a way that works for them.

There’s no training in functional movement.

No time for mental health through movement.

No space for regulation, confidence, connection, or control.

So what happens?

The sporty kids thrive.

The rest? They quietly drift away.

They stop enjoying PE.

They stop seeing themselves as “sporty.”.. and dislike PE and exercise completely.

And they leave school with no confidence in their body, no tools to manage stress, and no sense that movement could ever feel good.

That’s the gap I saw. And once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it.

Movement Snax is a new way to bring purposeful activity into the school day — not just PE.

It’s for the whole school.
It’s for every learner — not just the sporty or the confident.

It’s built around short, structured sessions that actually fit the timetable — led by qualified PE teachers who live and breathe health, movement, and meaningful training.

This isn’t just more PE.

It’s movement with purpose — for focus, regulation, and readiness to learn.

  • It’s movement for the real world.

  • Not for gold medals.

  • For life.

I went looking for answers — and I didn’t find them in a PE scheme.

I found them in the world of fitness, rehab, strength, and longevity.

I followed coaches, clinicians, researchers and thinkers: Marcus Filly, Paul Chek, Ben Patrick, Dr. Stuart McGill, Charles Poliquin, Darryl Edwards, Nsima Inyang, and more.

They weren’t talking about “sport” — they were talking about how to move better, live longer, and feel stronger in your body.

And I thought: Why aren’t we teaching this in schools?

Why aren’t we showing young people how to build strength, resilience, posture, focus, breath control, mobility, and joy in their body — from the very beginning?

So I created Movement Snax.

What I’ve learned is this:

Movement is a human need — not a lesson slot.

Fitness is a form of education — not an extracurricular.

And when we give every child a way in, we unlock so much more than strength.

We unlock trust.
We unlock safety.
We unlock belief.

That’s the story of Movement Snax.

Not a scheme. A shift.
